Sewar Masa'deh-Dowdell holds a Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) in international criminal law from the University of Ottawa, Canada (2002) and a Bachelor of Laws degree (LL.B.) from the University of Jordan, Jordan (1995). She has worked as a legal counsel at the Jordanian Foreign Ministry where she was responsible for the files of terrorism, disarmament and the International Criminal Court (2003- 2006). In 2005 she participated in the United Nations Programme of Fellowships on Disarmament and became a disarmament- fellow member of the United Nations. Her overall responsibility at Khalaf Masa'deh & Partners involves providing general legal counsel and support on matters pertaining to public international law. She has provided legal consultancy to, inter alia, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (2007- 2008). In 2011, as part of her continuing legal education, she attended the Summer Courses on Public International Law at The Hague Academy of International Law. Mrs. Masa'deh- Dowdell is a member of the Jordan Bar Association since 1997.
